Retro Pikachu is an event Pokemon which was released on 22/Jul/2013 to 28/Jul/2013 through the Event Distribution.
Retro Pikachu was then obtainable the second time, starting from 01/Oct/2014 to 15/Oct/2014 through the Retro Pikachu Event.
If you have completed all tasks during the Retro Pikachu Event, and unlocked the Yellow Forest rumble area, Retro Pikachu can still obtainable, but at a lower chance.
On December 3rd 2015 the Shiny Retros have been released. The chance to hatch a Shiny Retro Pikachu is 1/50 (2%), since you can't chain Retros.
Hatching a Retro Pikachu egg will not count towards your Shiny Chain.
